Product Settings Guide

The Products Page allows you to manage product dimensions (length, width, and height) for shipping rate calculations. Below is a guide to help you navigate and configure this section effectively.

Overview Section

At the top of the page, you’ll see an instructional guide for configuring product dimensions via the import/export feature.

Steps to Configure Dimensions:

  1. Export CSV File:
  • Click the Export button to download the existing CSV file containing product data.
  1. Update Dimensions:
  • Open the CSV file and update the length, width, and height fields for the respective product variants.
  1. Import CSV File:
  • Click the Import button to upload the updated CSV file and apply changes.

This process ensures accurate configuration for shipping rate calculations based on product dimensions.

Products Sync Status

  • Displays the last synced time for product data from your Shopify store.
  • To sync products manually:
    • Navigate to Apps -> Smart Shipping Rates -> Sync Settings -> Products, and click Sync Products.

Products Table

Search Bar

Use the search bar to quickly locate products by name, tags, or other attributes.

Product Table

The product table lists all products and their key details for easy management.

Columns:

  1. Product Name:
    • Displays the name of the product.
  1. Variants:
    • Shows the number of variants associated with the product.
  1. Tags:
    • Lists any tags assigned to the product (e.g., Accessory, Sport, Winter).
  1. Actions:
    • Edit:
      • Click the Edit button to modify specific product details, such as tags or dimensions.
Best Practices
  • Regularly sync your products to keep the data up-to-date with Shopify.
  • Double-check your CSV file format before importing to avoid errors.
  • Use tags to organize products effectively for shipping scenarios.

Add or Edit a Product

Clicking the Edit button allows you to modify details for a product directly within the app.

The Edit Product Page allows you to configure the dimensions (length, width, height) of individual product variants. These dimensions are used to calculate shipping rates accurately.

Variants Section

This section lists all variants of the selected product with the following fields:

  1. Price: Displays the price of each variant for reference.
  2. Length: Input the length of the product variant.
  3. Width: Input the width of the product variant.
  4. Height: Input the height of the product variant.
  • Units: The unit of measurement (e.g., mm) is displayed next to each input field and is configured in the Measurement Formats settings.
How to Configure Dimensions
  1. Locate the variant you want to update.
  2. Enter the Length, Width, and Height values in the respective fields.
    • Ensure the dimensions are accurate for proper shipping rate calculations.
  1. Repeat the process for all other variants as needed.
Save Changes
  • After entering or updating the dimensions, click the Save button in the top-right corner to apply the changes.
  • Failure to save will result in losing any updates made to the dimensions.
Tips
  • Use consistent units across all variants to avoid discrepancies in shipping calculations.
  • Double-check the entered dimensions for accuracy to prevent errors in shipping rates.
