🚀 Section 4: Settings Guide – Product Sync

The Product Sync section helps you keep your shipping rate logic accurate by syncing product data (name, tags, variants, dimensions) between your Shopify store and the ShipEZ app. It also allows you to configure the product dimensions used for rate calculations.

🔍 4.1 Product Sync Status

This shows the last synced time of product data from your Shopify store.

  • You can always perform a manual sync if changes were made in Shopify.
✅ How to Sync Products (Compulsory)
  1. Go to AppsSmart Shipping RatesSync SettingsProducts
  2. Click Sync Products to pull the latest product data.

📅 Example: If you just added a new product or updated tags in Shopify, use this sync button to reflect changes in ShipEZ.

📝 4.2 Product Settings Guide (Overview)

This section lets you set Length, Width, Height values per product variant. These are important for dimensional shipping rules.

✅ How to Configure Dimensions via CSV (Optional)

Step-by-step (CSV Import)

  1. Click Export to download the existing CSV file with product data.
  2. Update Length, Width, and Height columns for each product variant.
  3. Click Import to upload your updated file.

This ensures accuracy for volumetric shipping calculations.

  • Product: “Snowboard Pro 150”
  • Length: 1500 mm | Width: 320 mm | Height: 120 mm
📋 4.3 Product Table View (List View)

This is your full product list synced from Shopify.

🔹 Columns
  • Product Name (Compulsory): Displays your product title.
  • Variants (Compulsory): Number of variants linked to the product.
  • Tags (Optional): Used to organize products for tag-based rules or combined rate setup.
  • Actions: Click Edit to update the dimension fields or tags.
🔍 Search Bar (Optional)

Use this to filter by name, tags, or variant attributes.

📅 Example: Searching “Wax” displays:

  • Selling Plans Ski Wax
  • Sample Ski Wax Pack
✍️ 4.4 Edit or Add Product (Edit View)

Clicking Edit on a product allows you to:

  • Add/Update dimensions per variant (Compulsory if using dimension-based rates).
  • Edit tags for use in shipping rules (Optional).
✅ How to Configure Dimensions Manually (Compulsory if not using CSV)
  1. Select the product you want to edit.
  2. Update Length, Width, and Height fields (unit: mm).
  3. Click Save.

  • Use consistent units (e.g., mm across all products).
  • Double-check dimensions to avoid inaccurate rate calculations.

  • Variant 1: 80 mm x 30 mm x 20 mm
