Shipping Rule Configuration Guide

Overview

The Create/Edit Shipping Rule page allows you to define specific shipping rules based on various conditions such as cart total, weight, customer details, and scheduling. These rules determine when and how shipping rates are applied during checkout.

How to Create a New Shipping Rule

  1. Go to Shipping Rules and click New Shipping Rule, or click the name of a specific rule to open its editing page.

  2. In the General section, set the rule’s status, name, and scheduling (if needed).

  3. Add conditions in the Conditions section:
    • Click + Add Condition and configure the required parameters.
  1. In the Shipping Rates section, assign rates to the appropriate zones.
  2. Click Save to apply the rule.

Sections

Settings
  1. Status: Toggle between Enabled or Disabled to activate or deactivate the rule.
  2. Name: Enter a name to identify the rule.
  3. Enable Scheduling:
    • Select Enabled to specify a time range for the rule.
    • Configure the Start date and End date to define the active period.

    4. Conditions

    • Purpose: Define the conditions that need to be met for the rule to apply.

    • Condition Type:

      • Match all conditions: All specified conditions must be met.
      • Match any conditions: At least one condition must be met.
      • Match no conditions: Excludes all specified conditions.
    • Condition Parameters:
      • Cart Condition:
        • Attributes: Total, Quantity, Weight, Distance, etc.
      • Product Condition:
        • Attributes: Total, Price, Quantity, Weight, Length, Width, Height, Volume, Volumetric Weight, Name, Tag, SKU, Barcode.
        • Note: You can specify rules based on these attributes to create tailored shipping
        • Match Criteria:
          • All items: Applies the rule if all items in cart.
          • Any items: Applies the rule if any items meets the condition.
          • None of the the items: Excludes specific items in cart from triggering the rule.
          • All items with specified tags: Applies the rule only if all items in the cart contain the specified tags.

          • Any items with specified tags: Applies the rule if at least one item in the cart contains the specified tags.

          • All items with specified SKU: Applies the rule only if all items in the cart match the specified SKU.

          • Any items with specified SKU: Applies the rule if at least one item in the cart matches the specified SKU.

          • All items starting with the specified SKU: Applies the rule only if all items in the cart have SKUs that start with the specified value.

          • Any items starting with the specified SKU: Applies the rule if at least one item in the cart has an SKU that starts with the specified value.

      • Customer Condition:
        • Attributes: Name, Email, Phone, Tax, Address, City, Company.
    • Operators: Equal To, Not Equal To, Greater Than or Equal To, Less Than or Equal To, Between

Examples:

  • Condition: Cart Total Greater than or equals 1,000 USD.
  • Condition: All items with specified SKU 12345.
Shipping Zones & Rates

The form will list all Shipping Profiles, with each profile containing a list of Shipping Zones. Shipping rates will be managed within each shipping zone under its respective profile.

Adding/Editing Rates:

  • Click Add Shipping Rate or Edit to define shipping rates for each zone.
  • Assign the rate a name, status, and applicable conditions.

Key Notes

 

  • Conditions: Conditions are applied to the cart data before discounts. Ensure to configure them based on your requirements.
  • Scheduling: Use scheduling to create rules for promotional events or seasonal shipping policies.
  • Multiple Conditions: Combine multiple conditions to create flexible and precise shipping rules.

Manage Shipping Rates

  • Click the Add Rate button or the Name of the shipping rate. This will redirect you to the New Shipping Rate creation page.
