βš™οΈ 2. Settings – Configure Messaging Channels

Before sending any notifications, you must enable and set up at least one messaging
channel.

πŸ“± 2.1 SMS Notifications Setup

Enable SMS Notifications and fill in:

  • Provider – Choose your SMS provider (e.g., Twilio).
  • Account ID – Your provider’s account SID/ID.
  • Auth Token – Authentication token for API access.
  • Sender Number – Phone number used to send messages.
  • Test Number – Number used for testing SMS delivery.
  • Max Retry – Number of retry attempts if sending fails.

➑ Click Save & Continue.

πŸ“§ 2.2 Email Notifications Setup

Enable Email Notifications and fill in:

  • Provider – Gmail, Outlook, or Custom SMTP.
  • Username – Your email or SMTP username.
  • Password – SMTP password or App Password.
  • Sender Email – The email shown as the β€œFrom” address.
  • Sender Name – Display name shown in inbox.
Advanced Settings
  • SMTP Host – Example: smtp.gmail.com
  • Port – Choose TLS (587) or SSL (465) based on your provider
  • Secure Toggle – Turn on if your email provider requires encryption
  • Max Retry – Number of retry attempts if sending fails
  • Test Recipient Email – Email address for sending test messages

➑ Click Test Connection, then Save & Continue.

βœ… 2.3 Setup Complete

When both channels are ready, you’ll see a confirmation page with next steps:

  1. Go to Templates to create message content
  2. Go to Notifications to configure triggers and rules
  3. (Optional) Enable the Back-in-Stock widget in your Theme Editor
  4. Click Continue to App
